Expected to release by 2023. #ClassroomOfTheElite #Season2 #anime #mangaHome Anime Anime Features Classroom of the Elite Season 2 Is Confirmed â Here's What to Expect Now that the highly-anticipated second season of Classroom of the Elite has been confirmed, here are some refreshers for the big comeback. First published as a light novel in 2015, the psychological thriller series Classroom of the Elite enjoyed overwhelming success and was quickly adapted into a manga a year later. Even though the anime adaptation was put on halt for five years, the manga and light novels have continued their serialization. Studio Lerche produced Season 1 of the Classroom of the Elite anime in 2017, but the series' lack of domestic success resulted in a lengthy hiatus. However, the wait is coming to an end with confirmation of a second season, much to fans' delight. With such a long break, it's understandable if some have forgotten the events that occurred during Season 1. Here are the most important points to remember, along with what to expect when Season 2 arrives. Classroom of the Elite follows Kiyotaka Ayanokouji, a teenage student entering a highly prestigious school that promises to produce only the best results. The school follows a merit-based system, wherein allowances are provided through points that can be used to purchase virtually everything they may want or need. Despite being placed in Class D, where the lowest-ranked students are put, Ayanokouji actually possesses extraordinary intellect. However, he refuses to stand out and prefers to manipulate events from the shadows, an act he executed on multiple occasions in Season 1. Ayanokouji first showed Classroom of the Elite fans a glimpse of his secret intelligence - although forced - when his classmate Suzune Horikita asks him to convince three of their lowest-standing classmates to attend a group study. He used Kikyou Kushida, the popular class idol, and her charms to convince the three boys. The intelligent Horikita also fell into Ayanokouji's schemes as he guided her into making a convincing plot to get another classmate off the hook from expulsion. However, his strategic prowess shone brightest during Season 1's Deserted Island Special Test, where he tricked the other classes into guessing incorrectly and allowed Class D to finish the exam on top. Season 2 of Classroom of the Elite will begin with Volume 4 of the light novel, which covers the "Cruise Ship Special Test" Arc. Ayanokouji excels at observing other people's behavior and subtly manipulating them to do his bidding. By doing this, he not only achieves his goal but also manages to remain on the sideline by pinning the credits to someone else. Although he, Horikita and Kushida are the story's mainstays, Season 2 will spotlight other side characters during various arcs, including their classmates Kanji Ike, Yosuke Hirata and Kei Karuizawa. Classroom of the Elite Season 1 left fans with more questions than answers. There were glimpses and pieces of Ayanokouji's past as well as his father's attempts to expel him from the school, yet his backstory and reasons for enrolling in this competitive school remain a mystery. He is also yet to publicize his true ability, and most of Class D was left unexplored. With Season 2 officially confirmed, fans can once again hope to finally receive answers to these questions and much more. KEEP READING Death Note Why L Always Sits Hunched Over

Hi and welcome to another round of âIs this actually that good or is it just that mostly only fans of the previous work read it, inflating the score?â. And I guess my overall score already spoiled you the answer. 2nd year of Classroom of the Elite is pretty much the same as the 2nd half of the previous novel series. Which is to say â fans wonât be disappointed, but it is still boring. It retains most of the faults that Iâve complained about in a review for the previous part, but it does improve a little. Not enough for me to give it a ... Ironically, this is also a downside for the first volume, as it is overdone in quite wrong direction. Certainly, we now get to read the protagonists planning, but in this particular case it was absolutely annoying. He has to choose one person to pair with from over hundred people, and that person canât be the single âspyâ from White Room. Had he chosen at random, the probability of failure would be less than 1100. Now I understand that he really doesnât want to be expelled, but the volume is just riddled with the same though pattern all over again â âI might choose someone with xy characteristics as someone from White Room wouldnât have such characteristic, but they could have expected me to do that and fabricate that characteristics, so I wonât choose like thatâ. This goes on for some time. The longer Ayanokouji takes, the less people he can choose from. The chase for 100% sure-fire way leaves him with worse and worse chances of succeeding. What is worse is that there are no repercussions for this terrible planning decision at all, as a solution just falls into his hand, almost literally. My biggest peeve about YouJitsu is how little the setting makes sense. And this only gets worse. Now let me remind you that Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing High School is supposed to be an elite school. Iâm reminding you this fact because I myself have basically forgotten this fact, as the students seem like mostly average students with some clever ones here and there mixed in. But thatâs wrong. Itâs supposed to be an elite school â not just that but high shot elite school that the government is focusing and pumping in ungodly amount of money and effort to maintain. And this is the cast that ends up attending to school? Itâs not even justifiable by saying âbut hey itâs class D, they are supposed to be the weakestâ. Yeah, weakest in comparation, the worst class in top tier elite school should still be leaps above the average, yet most of the characters still feel like regular people filler that require those few people with actual talents to lead them through the whole school exams ordeal. Mentioning the finances, this leads to another question â who the fuck is funding this? The school facilities are like a small town, and thatâs not counting outside parts like islands and boats. The students are literally handed out huge amounts of money for literally just participating in school activities correctly while some students donât get that much, when the total amount adds up itâs a huge pile of money just being thrown at high-schoolers. We even learn in previous novel that literally every student in Japan is automatically being evaluated if they are worthy of joining the school or not. Imagine the insane amount of paperwork just for that. And what for? To supposedly nurture few supposedly talented individual. And keep in mind only one class is considered to be this. And only the students of this class that managed to not get expelled. So in return for what canât be anything else than tanking the budget of the whole nation, you get a shocking⊠circa 20 talented people per year? And thatâs not all, those people apparently get to choose their carriers, so with this much effort you can still get what, a somewhat good baseball player? All that to hand out an employment recommendations by the school. Itâs such a terrible investment return itâs unreal. Itâs like the worst gacha ever funded by taxpayerâs money. I realize that goverments are known for being terrible with money decisions but fuck me, how are the citizens not rioting to stop this complete waste of everything? Not to mention the fake advertising of âhurr durr 100% students find employmentâ. From a writing point of view, Ayanokouji did not join the school â the school was created so Ayanokouji could join it and show of, and the school makes no sense outside of the POV of ths story. Now, Iâve already mentioned how lot of the characters donât even seem actually talented in the first place, but this gets worse. So many characters are problem children. This isnât an elite school, this is a delinquent detention facility. Keep in mind that this is Japanese government funding this, deliquents are like the exact opposite of what they would want for the âbright future of the countryâ. Enter the new batch of students. The new D class suspiciously good at scheming â despite barely entering the school they pose a formidable threat to our protagonists. Just compare to how much of a bubbling idiots âourâ D class was in their place previously. This seems the case because the power leveling sucks and the writing just power-upped others to create new antagonist without thinking about how much it wouldnât make sense for the abilities of the new characters to be set as such. This is some beginner battle shounen writing mistake. Back to the âdelinquentsâ theme. With the new cast addition the setting absolutely collapses. You know what you would expect at school for modern society elites? To have to study a lot and shit like that. You know what you would not expect? For the school to accept an extremely violent individual, and for this individual to literally attempt a murder and get away with it. You know how Sudou defending himself was a big deal and he could be expulsed for that? Well that is thrown out of the window, because it seems that Ayanokouji needs an antagonist he could overpower with physical strength to now show off only his mental superiority, so the story throws in a dangerous maniac and the school is suddenly like âYeah well you guys sort those little disagreement between yourself, we donât careâ, because somehow a student council president has the power to influence school policies for whatever the fuck reasons. And donât try to excuse it with âbut he only got away with it because people didnât report the incident. Firstly, I refuse to believe school wouldnât keep tabs on such volatile individual. Secondly and most importantly, while Ayanokouji kept him non-expeled to use him to get through a certain predicament, literally nothing is stopping him from reporting the incident after already solving said predicament. Well, one thing is stopping him â the script that wants to keep this antagonist in the story. And how are people still willing to stay in school where there is a chance of being stabbed or at least beaten up should they dissplease the wrong person? All thet for a small chance at job recommendation? Unless there is an apocalypse or absolute collapse for economy where getting a guaranteed job recommendation could make a difference between life and death and nothing at all suggest such thing, it makes no sense for so many people to be willing to deal with the bullshit the school makes them to go through. And applies even before literal violence becomes a possible threat. Similar to low return for the goverment, the reward for the students isn't exactly that high either. Could actually talented people really not get a job just by their own efforts without it being handed to them by a goverment? The whole setting is a seriously flawed system, and that doesn't seem to be written like that on purpose. Some of this might sound as just nitpicking, and indeed, if isolated, it wouldn't be that much of a problem. It gets worse when all these problems accumulate in one series, and when said series doesn't offer entertainment value to compensate. After all, belief can only be suspended when you're having fun. So yeah, for a novel that seems to advertise itself as for the âintellectualsâ, you need to shut down your reasoning to even be able to accept the inconsistent plot. Classroom of the Elite is not a novel for clever people, itâs a novel for people who want to feel clever by inserting as the protagonist.

My main issue with this season is the main conflict is so...contrived. I won't spoil anything but just know this entire season could have been avoided if certain characters had just had a conversation instead of the mental stand off they opt for. And for the class competitions, it's like the first one but worse. Stuff happens for a few episodes, you aren't given any details and are lead to believe class D is going to come in last, then wam bam of course they don't because of these 10 things that happened off screen. Ayonokoji is basically God with his ability to see the future. All that being said, if you're trying to fill the time it's not bad for that. Just don't expect good story or character development. 2 terty Sep 13, 2022 6 I enjoyed the first season as the concept of the anime was interesting and i liked the main character, but i think the second season is worse than the first, the storyline was quite boring to me and the animation is noticibly lower in quality. The conflicts felt weirdly forced and I had to make myself to watch many of the epsiodes 1 midnightassassin0 Sep 27, 2022 5 No spoilers for this season but it was really a letdown. I was excited to see more of the MC's genius plans and the ones we got were severely lacking. Some of the characters that we loved in the first season were only seen briefly and you would just forget about them. It became very boring to watch compared to the first season and there were only a few characters who I think developed at all. It just did not live up to my expectations and I am disappointed.
